Jaded Copper Kitchen Island and Breakfast Bar

Our customer Michelle came across our Jaded Copper Countertop Tutorial on YouTube and decided to create her own kitchen island and breakfast bar making the resin worktops from scratch. Having no previous experience with DIY or working with resin, Michelle has done an amazing job!

Michelle sourced the cabinets to form the base for the island project from DIY stores and using a piece of 25mm MDF for the countertop to sit on top of the island and a second slab for the breakfast bar, customised the edges using a craft knife to create a rough stone edge effect. Once Michelle had the edges shaped to her liking, she used car body filler to give the right finish. Once this was thoroughly dried a thin layer of resin was applied to seal the surface.

Michelle then poured the countertops using GlassCast 3 resin and the jaded copper countertop kit to produce the beautiful effects you can see in the images. The countertop was then secured into place on the island units and chrome legs secured to the breakfast bar to complete the look.
