Resin Art Salon Nail Desks and Countertops

These beautiful resin nail desks and hairdressing countertops were created by Lucy using GlassCast 3 and various pigments in a resin art style.

With each piece being unique, Lucy produces ranges of artwork for beauty salons and hairdressers which is incorporated into functional furniture. Lucy uses resin to produce effects to mimic marble and agate slices using different various pigments and glitters to create a 3D effect.

Thank you for sharing your work with us Lucy, the desks and countertops add a luxurious feel to the salons!

ABOUT CRYSTAL RESIN

Crystal Resin

Despite naturally being a creative spirit and graduating with an art degree in 2014, Lucy found herself pulled into a career path which made exercising her creativity difficult - if not impossible.

That is until 2018, when a course in Art Therapy gave her the opportunity to immerse herself back into the world of crafts; a decision that would reignite her passion for art and ultimately spark the creation of Crystal Resin.

Lucy started by renting a studio space at Airspace Gallery, where she explored a variety of different mediums before discovering epoxy resin.

To begin with, Lucy would use resin to coat her paintings which gave them a luxurious glass-like finish. She then found that resin can be used to make castings and after a few failed attempts and a few brilliant ones, her knowledge on the subject matter grew and so did her interest in the unlimited capabilities of resin.
