Resin and Plum Wood Bowl
This stunning bowl was handcrafted by Steffen using a approximately 80 year old piece of plum tree that Steffen acquired from a friend. The wood cracked badly whilst drying and Steffen preserved it by casting resin in and around it.
Using GlassCast 50, and blue pigment with a touch a metallic pigment Steffen cured the blank under pressure before turning it on the lathe to create this beautiful bowl.
Thanks for sharing your work - it's incredible!
