Alcohol Ink and Resin Coasters
Melissa creates beautiful resin coasters using GlassCast 10, pigments and alcohol inks to produce this incredible 'petrified rainbow' effect.
These explosions of colour are caused by dropping pigments and the alcohol inks into freshly poured resin, resulting in these amazing 3D effects, with no two pieces ever the same.
We love these Melissa thank you for sharing!
ABOUT LISSY CRAFTS
Melissa is a self-taught woodworker and resin artist.
As a woodworker, Melissa is always researching new designs and methods. Watching lots of videos on the internet and being inspired by makers like Nick Zammeti, who works with resin often. Melissa enjoyed his weird and wacky projects and felt inspired to try resin for herself.
Finding GlassCast Resin and experimenting with pigments and moulds, Melissa began her resin adventure.
Melissa says 'what I love about resin, is that every pour is different than the last. I will sit there at the table, choose my colours, mix them up and let my creativity take over. I like to think of my creativity as a separate being. I drift into the background, and my creativity takes over, and creates all these weird and wonderful patterns!'
