Jacquard Piñata Alcohol Inks are high quality, dye based inks which are compatible with GlassCast clear epoxy coating resin. They are very popular with resin artists and makers creating 'petri-dish' art, coasters and resin jewellery.
This 'Color Exciter Pack' of 9 alcohol inks includes 6 vibrant colours of Sunbright Yellow, Calabaza Orange, Senorita Magenta, Passion Purple, Baja Blue, Rainforest Green, along with Blanco Blanco white, Mantilla Black and Rich Gold.
The special Blanco Blanco ink is a heavy dye and an essential part of many alcohol ink processes where the weight of the white pigment is dripped onto drops of other colours to push them down through the resin, creating incredibly beautiful 'trails' of colour through the resin.
How much do I need?
Piñata Alcohol Inks are incredibly rich and concentrated in colour. A little goes a long way and these small 0.5oz bottles will provide enough vibrant colour for hundreds of pieces!
The amount of alcohol ink you need for a project depends on the effect you are aiming for. If you are creating petri art you can work to this approximate guide:
Flammability
Please be aware that being alcohol based, just like the brandy on your Christmas pudding these alcohol inks are highly flammable! Do not use a blow torch or use a heat gun on the inks and avoid any naked flames.
Other uses for Alcohol Inks
Alcohol Inks are fun fluid-art medium which can be used in many different ways and with a wide range of techniques. They are suitable for use with the following surfaces: metal, plastic, ceramic, glass, polymer clay, stone, leather, YUPO paper and more.
