Ocean Wall Hanging
Workshop Kyle used reclaimed softwood planks cut into blocks which he glued together into an end grain segmented slab. The next step was to carve ripples into the surface to look like sand, this was cleaned off and a sealing coat of resin applied and left to cure. The slab was barriered to cast the main pour on top with GlassCast 50 resin pigmented with a translucent turquoise blue.
The final stage was to demould the form and carve the ripples in the water surface, then finish and polish the surface.
Thanks for sharing Kyle, it's beautiful!
