Wedding Flowers and Resin Collections

Lucy carefully dries bouquets for her custom commissions before encapsulating them in crystal clear resin using GlassCast 50 PLUS resin.

The flowers are cast into pre-made silicone moulds to produce practically any shape including coasters, presentation blocks, letters, jewellery display pieces and much more.

Thank you for sharing your work with us Lucy, the collections of castings are absolutely stunning as always!

ABOUT CRYSTAL RESIN BY LUCY

Crystal Resin by Lucy

Despite naturally being a creative spirit and graduating with an art degree in 2014, Lucy found herself pulled into a career path which made exercising her creativity difficult - if not impossible.

That is until 2018, when a course in Art Therapy gave her the opportunity to immerse herself back into the world of crafts; a decision that would reignite her passion for art and ultimately spark the creation of Crystal Resin.

Lucy started by renting a studio space at Airspace Gallery, where she explored a variety of different mediums before discovering epoxy resin.

To begin with, Lucy would use resin to coat her paintings which gave them a luxurious glass-like finish. She then found that resin can be used to make castings and after a few failed attempts and a few brilliant ones, her knowledge on the subject matter grew and so did her interest in the unlimited capabilities of resin.
