Traditional Resin River Table

Rachel along with her partner had wanted to create a resin river table for some time, so taking advantage of her partners handyman skills and her own resin skills they decided to give it a go.

Using clear GlassCast50 and following the tutorial this was the outcome!

The mould was made from scratch, using a polypropylene sheet, secured tightly so no resin would leak out. Using a clear layer of GlassCast50, they were able to secure the two sections of oak wood together to make the table top. The blue tint was created using blue pigment powder, giving it colour whilst keeping the transparency.

The challenging parts were taking the table out of the mould and the sanding and polishing process to get that gorgeous finish. The table was completed with the addition of the simple, yet elegant hairpin legs.

The GlassCast guide was a life saver and Rachel said that they would be following it step by step again for their next table project.

Thanks for sharing your project with us - what a fantastic result for a first attempt at a resin river table!
