Wood and Resin Tables by Studio Punchard

This selection of wood and resin tables have been handcrafted by Studio Punchard in South Wales.

Using beautiful pieces of wood selected for their natural beauty, the team create pieces of furniture like tables, fitted furniture, chopping boards and more and work with clients to create bespoke pieces.

Lots of work goes into the preparation of the wood slabs before they are combined with resin, pigmented with different colours to produce these stunnig results.

Thank you for sharing your work with us Chad, it's a beautiful collection of pieces!

ABOUT STUDIO PUNCHARD

Studio Punchard

Chad is a furniture maker and wood artist from Swansea, South Wales. Making all sorts of furniture at the studio, from built in wardrobes, handcrafted kitchens, dining and coffee tables to quirky one of a kind items and wall art.

Chad started using resin as a way to help preserve wood, if there was a small spilt, crack or big knot in a timber and couldn’t be used for the cleaner style of joinery, Chad would repurpose it by adding resin and coloured pigments.

This led to Chad's creative mind to start wandering and experimenting with exactly what could be made with the process. Starting off with the basic solid colours on smaller items and then slowly gaining more confidence, which lead to bigger resin pours and funky colours.

The projects Studio Punchard work on are mainly wood at the moment. Timber is sourced from local suppliers which means that all end products can be traced back to its origins, each timber has its own unique beautiful characteristics, by carefully choosing the right colours of pigment mixed in with resin the team can create beautiful one of a kind pieces, making everything truly handcrafted.
