Pixel Coffee Table
This project was made using scrap pieces of 2x1 Pine that Ant saved from going on the fire. The wood was cleaned up and cut into random sizes, then glued and clamped together leaving voids to fill with resin.
GlassCast 50 was poured over 2 sessions to achieve a greater depth and Ant used the Shimr Metallic pigments to create lots of different colours - some single colour pours and some blended - using 10 different Shimr's in all.
Ant wanted this project to have a matching leg frame, which as you can see gives the table top and leg frame cohesion and fits the style perfectly!
To finish, Ant worked through abrasive grits to get a smooth finish, and finally applied 4 coats of Osmo Polyx.
We absolutely love the Pixel Table, thanks for sharing your work with us Ant.
ABOUT WUDN STUFF
Ant has been working with resin for a little over a year, but has been a fan of resin work for for much longer.
Up until a year ago Ant never had a suitable space to use as a workshop, but that changed a year ago and he now spends most of my spare time working on projects using resin.
