This unusual guitar was created by Andy using GlassCast Resin, SHIMR powders combined with the fractal burning technique to add a unique twist.
Andy fills the recesses left by the burning with pigmented epoxy resin before finishing and shaping the body of the guitar - it looks amazing!
Thanks for sharing your work with us Andy!
Formed in 2018, after a friend tagged a river table photo post on social media "you could make that" he joked.
Andy was intrigued to learn the techniques used working with resin and Lightning Wood Design created its first River table. Andy followed the GlassCast Resin River Table online tutorial.
Lightning Wood Design try where possible to use locally sustainable wood material and enjoy to follow the 'create as you go' method. Andy exclusively uses GlassCast Resin and pigments as he finds them to be the best available on the market for his projects.
Andy burns the wood using the fractal burning process, and has perfected different styles of doing so to make his products truly unique.
Creating serving/ charcuterie boards, tables and wall hangings, Andy works with customers to create bespoke orders and past projects include a Mobile Catering Bar, Skateboards, Retail Counters for boutique shops and a Mini Gin Bar.
These are the Glasscast Resin products used to make this project
