Wood and Resin Jewellery
These beautiful wood and resin necklaces are all totally unique and are made using off-cuts of the larger pieces Pete at Lifetimber produces.
Created using GlassCast 10 epoxy resin tinted with a tiny amount of Indigo Blue CULR pigment to create a translucent appearance. The pieces are then finished off with a leather thong.
ABOUT LIFETIMBER
Lifetimber produces one-of-a-kind handmade products from unique second life wood. Products range from coasters to king size beds, through boxes, benches, tables and other furniture. Sometimes these are commissions for clients with specific criteria from the beginning, but often (and most intriguing) are the pieces that Pete finds in the offcuts on his shelf: a knot or a split will inspire and a new design begins.
Whenever possible Pete uses slow growing hardwoods that have had a previous life as something else, or were waste and offcuts from other woodworkers. This timber often has character that means it was hard for others to use. I work with the natural beauty of the wood, highlighting, celebrating and enhancing the natural flaws, knots and patina.
