River Coasters

Laurence from Knotty Roots Woodworks made this set of four River Coasters using small branches from a holly tree and pigmented GlassCast Resin. The wood was sliced into small 'cookies' of various shapes, debarked and placed into a long rectangular mould.

The resin was pigmented with metallic blue and poured around the wood. Once cured the coasters were cut to size and finished to a high shine on the resin and the wood was treated to bee's wax for protection.
