English Oak Coffee Table

The team at Cannon & James combine a range of sustainable materials, which they source locally where possible and create bespoke, eye-catching designs.

This beautiful coffee table was handcrafted by the team using a beautiful slab of English Oak which was cut down and positioned in a bespoke mould.

The next step was to pour the resin, coloured with shimmering purple and white metallic pigments to form the gorgeous effects, and once fully cured the slab was demoulded, routed and cut to size before the finishing, polishing and oiling stage!

The completed slab was then mounted on to modern metal boxed legs to complete the look. Thank you for sharing your work with us - it's amazing!

ABOUT CANNON & JAMES LTD

Cannon & James Ltd

Established in March 2020 and in the South East of England, in a small town in Buckinghamshire, we are a family run business specialising in the design and creation of contemporary furniture and other bespoke products.

With a limited range of tools and utilising our own living room as the main workspace back in 2017, we successfully made our first epoxy resin coffee table. We instantly fell in love with the beauty of the wood’s natural grain and texture, which worked in contrast with the striking appearance of the epoxy resin. We were inspired and continued to make one-off pieces for friends and family over the years that followed. In March 2020, we made the decision to turn our hobby and passion into a business and launched Cannon & James LTD.

The Company name was formed in memory of our late Father and Grandfather Glyn “the Cannon” James, who himself was a keen woodworker and was always encouraging us to follow in his creative footsteps. Since then, we have strived to find new ideas and have worked closely with our clients to design and create bespoke and eye-catching products “with an edge”.

Stunning projects, we look forward to seeing your future work!
