Aurora Borealis Pendant
Tom from Earth & Element Designs created this stunning Aurora Borealis inspired pendant using Australian Burr and GlassCast 10. Tom pigmented the resin to create the beautiful Northern Lights style effect.
ABOUT EARTH & ELEMENT DESIGNS
Tom from Earth and Element Designs makes one of a kind pieces than can be customised to the customers preference. Each one turns out differently and is completely unique. Tom starts by taking slices of wood and placing them in a mould, then fills the moulds with pigmented resin, before adding the cloud effects once the resin has had time to partly cure to ensure they hold their shape. Next he cuts the slices into individual pieces and shapes them using a belt sander, then hand sands up to 2000 grit for a glass smooth finish and lastly ends the process with a good polish.
