Delicate butterfly designs on acetate, perfect for use in resin projects. The acetate sheet contains 26 butterflies printed in black ink in a combination of single designs and pairs, making them ideal for including in earrings, pendants and also with flowers in castings to add extra details.
Carefully packed on a card and in a clear, the card measures 10.5cm by 10cm, the butterfly images range in size from 1.5cm to 2.5cm and are ready to use straight from the packet.
How to Use
Remove the acetate sheet from the bag, being careful not to get fingerprints on the film - wearing clean gloves is the best way to avoid marking the transparency. Select the butterfly you wish to use, you may need to measure your mould or bezel against the image to make sure it fits, and use it as a template. Carefully cut out the butterfly, cutting as close to the design as possible.
To encapsulate the image, pour a small amount of resin into the mould you are working with to create a base layer, this means that the butterfly will 'float' in the resin. Then by hand or using tweezers, carefully transfer the transparency to your project and using a lollipop stick or cocktail stick, position it in the resin and gently push down to ensure no air bubbles are trapped under the film. Finally, pour a layer of resin over the top to fully encapsulate it in the pour.
Transparencies can also be added to castings and resin artworks to add interest and detail and the great things about them is that the film becomes invisible inside the cured resin!

I've been using these butterfly transparencies in some resin coasters with dried flowers to create a mini garden, they are really effective - I wish you had more designs!
