These Bristle Rollers are perfect for consolidating chopped tow carbon fibre in projects like the forged carbon river table, they help significantly in eliminating small air bubbles and pin-holes which can be seen in composites when using clear epoxy resin.
These rollers have a 28mm diameter. We have found these to work best in eliminating tiny air bubbles and the 50mm roller width fits easily into most river table channels.
How to Use
When working on a forged carbon river table project sprinkle the chopped tow into the clear resin and using a brush and bristled roller wet out all of the fibres in the resin, roller all over the area several times then leave for a few minutes and roller again to eliminate any small entrapped air bubbles.
After use rinse the roller in an acetone bucket and leave it submersed until the next use, ensure that the acetone is thoroughly shaken out before each use. If cleaned properly a roller can last many months of daily use.
