Smoke Agate Coasters

Fluid artist Claudia created these beautiful Smoky Agate Coasters inspired by oysters using GlassCast 3 and various pigments, powders and gold leaf flakes.

Claudia poured the resin in two separate layers to create a contrasting pattern on the face and the reverse of the coasters. The charcoal and white pigment pastes sink to the bottom, leaving trails of colour behind, while the gold leaf flakes and metallic bronze pigment are suspended around the centre.
