The Velodrome Table
Our customer Paul is the organiser of the Monday Night Track League at the Manchester Velodrome and was lucky enough to purchase some of the genuine track that was in place from 2007-2018.
The finished table will be used as a prize/trophy when cycling resumes for a fundraising race.
Paul cut the Siberian Spruce to size and biscuit jointed and glued it together to create a solid slab. He then cut the slab into a circular piece and coated with GlassCast 3 to bring out the beauty of the wood.
Finally, Paul fabricated and welded the legs and attached them to the table top to produce this beautiful one-off table.
Paul said that he ran in to a few problems during the project but contacted our technical team and found solutions to produce this beautiful table with stacks of history!
Thanks for sharing your work with us Paul - it's a great project!
